Work in progress on a section of the radial path running up the hill from the Bournewood Road entrance to the Open Space to join the Green Chain walk on the east side of the site. The construction of the path was carried out by members of a Community Service team, supervised by a ranger.

The completed path is now fully operational and has been successful in attracting far more visitors to the Open Space, particularly joggers, dog walkers and elderly and disabled visitors as access to some areas has been made so much easier by the construction of the radial path. The total circumference of the path is 1800m and a number of way markers have been placed at roughly equal distances, showing the various species to be found in particular areas.
