Fund Raising

Funds were originally raised by the members in various ways, for example by selling wild flowers grown from seed, natural aromatherapy products and original watercolours related to East Wickham and the conservation work.

Grants have also been obtained for various projects. Funding has been obtained by the volunteers from such sources as Bexley in Bloom, British Petroleum and Hansons. The Green Flag Awards have enabled Bexley Council to access other sources of funding, and the Volunteers are grateful to the Council Officers for the considerable amount of work they have done to find more money to enhance the Open Space.
